What impact has EDA had on you?
Emerging Digital Academy has profoundly altered my perspective on career development within the technology sector. Initially, I harbored the misconception that entry into this field necessitated the completion of a traditional four-year academic program, a path I considered beyond my grasp. This belief was systematically challenged and transformed through continuous encouragement and dedicated effort.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned?
Understanding the underlying motivation behind our actions is equally, if not more, critical than knowing the methodology for achieving them. This comprehension of the “why” provides foundational clarity that not only directs our “how”, but also imbues our efforts with purpose and meaning.
What has been your favorite memory from EDA?
I don’t think I can pinpoint any specific time, but rather, the whole experience in general. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know each of my classmates over the past 20 weeks as well as the staff.
If you were to give advice to someone considering applying to EDA, what would you say?
You get out what you put into it. If, at the very minimum, you show up willing to learn and ask questions when you do not understand, you will be successful.
What advice do you have for the next cohort?
No question is too dumb. Ask if you don’t understand.
