What impact has EDA had on you?

Emerging Digital Academy has been a transformative experience for me. Engaging in different projects has provided me with a practical understanding of what it’s like to work on a development team. Not only did  EDA help me improve my technical abilities, but it also helped me develop my interpersonal skills. EDA made me a more effective team player and prepared me for a successful career in tech where teamwork is often the cornerstone of innovation and success.

What has been the biggest lesson you have learned?

The biggest lesson I’ve learned at Emerging Digital Academy has been the value of consistency. The technology field is vast and ever-evolving, and the importance of staying consistent in my learning and practice has been paramount. Regular coding practice has been instrumental in reinforcing my understanding of new concepts and technologies.

What has been your favorite memory from EDA?

It’s challenging to pinpoint just one favorite. However, if I must highlight a standout, it would be the light-hearted and humorous memes shared after every lecture. These memes were always cleverly tied to the content and always made everyone laugh.

If you were to give advice to someone considering applying to EDA, what would you say?

I would tell them that EDA offers an intensive program that can be incredibly rewarding for those who are fully committed. Be prepared to dedicate yourself to the curriculum and take advantage of the hands-on experience you’ll gain.

What advice do you have for the next cohort?

When you do face a bug, one of the simplest yet most effective tools at your disposal will be the console.log. And remember, the key to successful debugging is to isolate where the problem is occurring.
