Meet Minsky: Adam Troxell

Adam Troxell is a current Emerging Digital Academy student in our thirteenth cohort, the Minsky Cohort. Adam was born in Huntington Beach, California, but moved to the area when he was a child. He lived in Williston, ND for a while as well as Edmonton Canada. Adam joined EDA after being a Solutions Manager.  Meet Minsky Adam

Why did you choose EDA?

I wanted to make a worthwhile career change and join the ranks of developers. I’ve always admired the developers I’ve worked with in the past and the work they do. I love a good challenge and learning new skills.

What is the most interesting or surprising thing about EDA so far?

How supportive everyone is for the cohorts to succeed. It’s refreshing and nice to know we have a built in support system.

Are there any companies that you would love to work for?

I would love the opportunity to work for a larger local company where I can learn from the local legends and work on something exciting!

What are your hobbies outside of EDA?

Travel, first and foremost! I love seeing new parts of the world (or seeing the good parts again!) I’ve competed in Strongman before and love the training. I’m a gamer as well, ranging from Dungeons and Dragons to Mario Kart.

Any advice for someone thinking about joining EDA?

Be curious. Be aware of your finances and what you can do. EDA is so supportive and will work with you and want nothing but your success. It’s an environment that’s hard to fail with.

What is something you are grateful for?

My wife, she supports me in all of this and is my rock.
